There is also the fact that in the past (1950s, 60s), anyone anywhere could get any job EASILY and be able to support a family, which was because minimum wage back then would be the equivalent of $26 an hour today when adjusted for inflation.

So the idea that we should or can't have any more children just because we are not among those lucky enough to get a good paying job is completely ridiculous, especially since we are both more than qualified for such jobs.

He delivers pizzas and I am not even working right now due to health issues, but when I did it was a retail job paying minimum wage.

My husband and I both have bachelors degrees and certifications, and we live in an area 2 hours south of DC but neither of us can get a decent job.

I hear a lot of people say that you shouldn't have children if you can't afford them, and my husband also said he doesn't really want to have a second child right now because he said unfortunately it's all about having money.
